چکیده

The attachment of mouse immunoglobulin G (IgG) and anti-mouse IgG antibodies onto carbon nanotubes (CNTs), using either non-covalent or covalent means was investigated. The resultant CNTs were characterised using a variety of techniques including enzymelinked and fluorescence-linked immunoassays, UV-visible-NIR and Raman spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy and cyclic voltammetry. TEM images of the adsorbed antibody on the CNTs show that the covalent modification approach was successful, whereas the non-covalent approach resulted in no electrochemically detectable labelled antibody. Direct electrical communication between CNTs covalently linked to peroxidase-labelled antibodies was observed during cyclic voltammetry, which indicates applications in developing carbon-nanotube-based immunosensors.

Nanoengineered Inductively Coupled Carbon Nanotube Wireless Strain Sensor

Since the discovery of carbon nanotubes by Iijima in 1991, researchers have utilized carbon nanotubes for a wide array of applications including nanoelectronics, sensors, and inductively coupled antennas. While current and novel strain transducers can measure strain adequately, their large form factor and cabled data acquisition systems render their use in harsh environments difficult. It has b...

Dynamic Stability of Single Walled Carbon Nanotube Based on Nonlocal Strain Gradient Theory

This paper deals with dynamic Stability of single walled carbon nanotube. Strain gradient theory and Euler-Bernouli beam theory are implemented to investigate the dynamic stability of SWCNT embedded in an elastic medium. The equations of motion were derived by Hamilton principle and non-local elasticity approach. The nonlocal parameter accounts for the small-size effects when dealing with nano-...

An efficient platform based on cupper complex-multiwalled carbon nanotube nanocomposite modified electrode for the determination of uric acid

A new voltammetric sensor for determination of uric acid (UA) by Cuppercomplex- multiwalled carbon nanotube (Cu-complex-CNT) nanocomposite modifiedcarbon paste electrode (CPE) is reported. The electrocatalytic behavior of theCu-complex-CNT nanocomposite modified CPE was studied in pH 2.0 phosphatebuffer solution by chronoamperometry (CA) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) in th...
